Red Rubber Designs - Graduation/Good Luck

It is nearly graduation time, so Red Rubber Designs is featuring Graduation/Good Luck this week. My card uses RRD Ancient Map Background and Savvy Sayings stamp sets. The famous quote by an unknown author at the top of the map is computer generated.

The map is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on Hemingway Patterned Cardstock I also used the Corru-Gator Paper Crimper on another piece of the Hemingway card stock under the Hemingway ribbon and tag.  Hemingway hardware accents the side of the card.

Other supplies are Crop-a-dile and Palette ink Cognac for the sponged edges.

Be sure to check out all the RRD Design Team blogs this week so see what they have created for Graduation/Good Luck.

Red Rubber Designs - End of School

This week Red Rubber Designs Design Team is creating projects for End of School.  It is getting near.  I decided to make a thank you card for the teacher.  A student could give this card to her favorite teacher to thank the teacher for a good year and show her appreciation for all the teacher had done.

My card uses primary colors for the Gingham Background stamp.  Four Palette ink colors are used on the one stamp - Jardin Moss, L'Amore Red, Paris Lights, and Starry Night
I used two Spellbinder's circles dies - Standard Large Circles and Petite Scalloped Circles Lg.  The Frazzled stamp image in the middle is colored with Copic Markers (R21, R24, R29, E35, E37, E000, E00, E11).  The saying at the bottom is from the RRD stamp set For Everything.  The green base cardstock is embossed with a Sizzix folder with a school notebook background.  A checked ribbon was added to match the Gingham Background stamp.

Thanks for looking at my blog.  You can find these and many other stamps and supplies at Red Rubber Designs.

Our Daily Bread - Go Green ODBDSLC105

"Go Green" is the theme for Our Daily Bread's challenge this week.  My card uses the ODB Butterfly Corner  and a saying from the stamp set Faith.  I've used a green base card embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder by Tim Hotlz.  The image is colored with Copic markers.  Pearls were added as an embellishment.  I popped the butterfly up on the front of the card and used  foam tape to keep the wings folded open.  For texture I also used some of the Vintage Photo Distress Stickles by Ranger in the center of the flowers.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  You can find these stamps and other beautiful designs at Our Daily Bread.  Have a blessed day!

Little Miss Muffet - Peggy Sue Hatter

Peggy Sue Hatter is a digi stamp image from Little Miss Muffet's Hatter series.  Isn't she a fancy dresser?  The saying is from LMM's Hatters Combo B rubber stamp set. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I colored the image with Copic markers:  RV000, RV32, RV34, E27, E44, E47, E49, E11, YG91, YG93, YG97, C00, C01, C03, C05.  Spellbinders Lacey Rectangles were used to cut the image.  The patterned cardstock is a silver glitter paper by Paper Studio.   Pink Bazzill cardstock is the base card.  The flower is made with pink cardstock cut with Clever Lever flower punches and spritzed with Shimmer Glitter.  Pink pearlized hearts were added for accent.

Thanks for visiting my blog and looking at my card.  Blessings to you!

Mother's Day project - Red Rubber Designs

It is time to start thinking about Mother's Day for next month, so my Red Rubber Designs post this week is a candle for mother or a friend who is a mother.

Using the RRD stamps "Place in My Heart" and "Mother's Face", I first stamped the background on tissue paper using Noir Palette Ink.  Then I stamped the flowers from Place in My Heart using L'Amore Red, Landscape, and Raw Sienna Palette inks.  The tissue was trimmed close the image and placed on the candle.  Then I wrapped the candle with wax paper and used my heat gun to melt the tissue into the candle wax.

The printed cardstock wrapped around the bottom of the candle is from the RRD Miss Moxie collection.  The ribbon is from the Miss Moxie ribbons.  Then I added some sticker jewels around the bottom.

Here are a few close-up views.

This is a close up of the saying on the sides of the candle between the flowers.

Thanks for looking at my stamped Mother's Day candle project.

Grand Opening Blog Hop - Red Rubber Designs

"Life of the Party" is the RRD stamp chosen for the Grand Opening Blog Hop.  It seemed like a good celebration stamp for our DT team to use.  How fun to see all the different ways the team used this one stamp.  Be sure to go to all the DT blogs on the hop and return to the RRD blog for a chance to win a prize.  Details are below.

Now to tell you about my card.  The image is stamped on Copic XPress Blending Card.  I colored the Life of the Party image with Copic markers (BG23, BG15, BG49, YG01, YG03, E000, E00, E01, R81, W1, W4) and Spica Pens (Lemon and Turquoise).  I inked the edges of the image with Burnt Umber Palette ink and placed it on a brown cardstock mat. Then I put it over a Lattice Triangles Nestabilites cut from brown cardstock.   The background printed paper is from the RRD Rustic Chic 8x8 paper pack.  Below the image I have two aqua ribbons to match the paper, 3 pearlized jewels and a another piece of the Rustic Chic paper that I ran through the Corru-Gator Paper Crimper.

Happy Easter - Little Lamby by Mabelle RO

Happy Resurrection morning to you all!  This is my Easter card this year.  I love Mabelle's Little Lamby digi stamp.  She has lots of wonderful images.  You can check them out at her Whimsy and Stars Studio.

The background printed cardstock and solid cardstock is from the Mimi TAC collection.  I used a Spellbinders book die to cut out the opening and also the pages of the Bible-looking book.  The scripture is computer generated.  I inked some lines on the pages and brown ink was sponged around the edges.  The Little Lamby is colored with Copic markers and popped up on the front of the card.  Pink jewels and a bow were added for accent.

Have a blessed Easter!

I am very excited to share great news with you today!  Red Rubber Designs is open now and a Design Team has been selected.  One member is being announced and presented each day this week on the Red Rubber Designs blog.  There are six members of the Red Rubber Design Team.  Today is Day 2 of the announcements, and I'm so thrilled to have been selected to be a part of the team.  Be sure to check back daily and meet all the team.

Please leave some love in your comments on each designer's blog as you meet them.  If you do, you will be entered into a random drawing for a surprise package from Red Rubber Designs.  To be included in the random drawing, go back to the RRD blog  on April 7th and enter the contest by leaving a comment on the "Prize Package Contest Entry" post.  The contest will close Tuesday, April 10th at midnight CDT.  The winner will be announced during the Grand Opening festivities on Friday, April 13th.

Now, to tell you about my first project for Red Rubber Designs.  I decided to make a stair step card using the RRD set called Brighten Your Day.  I think it makes a nice litte scene to greet and spread some sunshine and happiness to a friend.

The background printed cardstock is from the RRD Catelynne Patterned collection.  I paper-pieced the tree, grass, cottage, and girl's clothing with the Catelynne collection cardstock.  Premium White cardstock, a very heavy 100# cardstock, was used for the base card.

Other supplies:
Copic markers E000, E00, E01, R81, E31,
E33, E35, E37, Y38, Y04, Y07, C1, C3
